WHERE YOUR VISION AND
MY VOICE BECOME ONE

I have an immense passion for voiceover work, and it shows. I am able to change my voice, tone, and personality without losing its identity. I pride myself in bringing to life to a script with the addition of emotion and intensity that a listener can relate to.

I'm Groove!

I was born in Long Island, New York. I am now a transplanted New Yorker living in the Maryland area with my family. My passion is and has always been in the entertainment field. My career started in the mid-80’s being part of a group called the “Rock Squad” releasing a rap/club single titled “Facts of Life” on the Tommy Boy label. Once the group disbanded, I met with a bunch of guys who would end up being my lifelong friends, partners, brothers…We formed the group “Groove B Chill” and was signed to the iconic label “Uptown MCA”, with other groups like “Heavy D & the Boyz”, “Finesse & Synquis”, “Brothers Black” to name a few. Although we were kind of lost in the sauce when it came to a focus on our music capabilities it was our sense of humor and outgoing persona that took us to a whole other level.

Our first video, “Uptown’s Kickin’ It” was produced and directed by two young brothers who took an interest in our stories, our personalities and put us in the urban hit movie “House Party”. I worked alongside fellow megastars Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Kid & Play and many others. I parlayed this breakout role to be cast in “House Party 2”, and “Boomerang” starring Golden Globe Award-winning actor Eddie Murphy. I have also acted in the Tina Turner biopic “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, with Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett and Emmy Awar winner Laurence Fishburne.

I’m still fortunate to go out to places and events and still perform with my group Groove B Chill…once we hit the stage it’s like we never left. I can definitely say we will always support our hip hop culture – ain’t nothing like Hip Hop Music…
